Walnut Enclosure – In Development

Wallnut enclosure under development
Wallnut enclosure under development

Exciting news.

It is still early stage, but we have been working with a local furniture designer Namon on a walnut enclosure for all our DIY amplifier kits.

Namon, who runs his company Namon Gaston closed to Edinburgh, is an award winning furniture designer (also I have known him personally for more than 20 years).

The enclosure, with internal layout of 300mm x 260mm will be able to mount the plate that is included in all our kits.

A walnut enclosure would look superb next  to your classic vinyl record player for sure!

Watch this space, there will more soon.

Classique Phono Transformers

Power transformers for the Classique Phono Valve Amp kit
Power transformers for the Classique Phono Valve Amp kit

It is always a good news when you received a delivery from your trusted supplier. Yesterday, a big box arrived, containing a large quantities of specially designed and made power transformers for the Classique Phono Valve Amp kit.

These transformers are  low flux density with high quality M6 laminations, meaning the magnetising current is tiny and the stray flux is small. Additionally a bright copper flux band was added to reduce any stray flux down to almost nothing.

As mentioned on the product page of the Classique Phono Valve Amp kit, we have spec, two transformers for a single amp unit. One for the HV and one for the LV. You can also read the white paper for the Classique Phono Valve Amp kit here.
